MARIA GOLDBERG - ESQUIRE

Maria Goldberg is recognized by Continental Who’s Who among America’s Exemplary Esquires. Goldberg began her legal career working as an assistant at a corporate law firm, Goldman & Stein, in New Castle, Delaware. She worked at the firm, for two well-respected lawyers while completing her education in business at Goldey-Beacom College in Wilmington. Goldberg absorbed much of the every-day issues and politics of law, and after four years, was extremely knowledgeable about corporate law. A partner at the firm saw potential for Goldberg to be a successful lawyer, and encouraged her to take the LSAT exam and pursue a career in law.

Goldberg spent the summer after college graduation preparing for the exam and in October, earned a score that was just shy of perfect. Goldberg sent her applications and LSAT scores to Baltimore Law School and was accepted.

Despite the aggressive curriculum, Goldberg made time to be an active member in multiple campus groups that focused on Equal Opportunity Employment, Sexual Harassment, and gender, age, and race discrimination. Her involvement gave her the opportunity to influence student government decisions regarding regulations, policies, and codes of conduct.

Goldberg finished her first year with honors and maintained a remarkable GPA, while continually committing time to various campus organizations. By her last year, Goldberg had established a name for herself and she became well recognized, as a result of her dedicated involvement on campus and in the community.

Goldberg graduated from Baltimore with a Law degree and returned to Goldman & Stein as a practicing attorney. Goldberg is now a partner at the Goldman & Stein firm, and has been practicing corporate law for thirty-five years.

Goldman & Stein has outgrown its office, as Goldberg has continued to recruit new talent. The firm is now comprised of twenty lawyers, two partners, and three paralegals. Goldberg strives to build the clientele and reputation of the firm, a goal she set when she made partner. Her experience, dedication, and consistently strong case record, distinguishes Goldberg among those in her field of corporate law.
